RUBY JEWEL BOGENRIFE, age 72, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026 at the Adena Fayette Medical Center.
She was born on January 19, 1954 in Beaver, Ohio to the late William Riley and Erma Mae (Fannin) Culwell.

She filled their yard with a large variety of flowers that she loved to share with others. Ruby was a very outgoing person who enjoyed spending time meeting and talking to new people. She also loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching birds, especially hummingbirds and could identify lots of different species. She had a collection of angel figurines and glassware. Ruby was very determined and optimistic. She attended Christ’s Victory Chapel in Bloomingburg and the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Washington CH.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her siblings, Norman Culwell, James Culwell, Elzie Culwell, and William Roy Culwell.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Dale Lee Bogenrife, whom she married on April 8, 1972; her children, Shawn (Jackie) Bogenrife, and Christina Bowen; grandchildren, Katie Bogenrife, Brandon Bowen, and Trevor Bowen; and siblings, Opal (Lorine) Ballinger, Okie Dreher, and Ronald Culwell. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
