RUTH ANN FLANAGAN, age 77, of Washington CH, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 5:53 a.m. at her home. She was born October 15, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio where she was adopted by her foster parents, Walter and Elizabeth Garrison Small. She had worked as a nurse's aide in several hospitals in Indiana and she proudly served her country in the US Army during the Vietnam era. Ruth was a member of the West Broad Missionary Chapel in Columbus. She had attended God's Bible College where she received her license as an ordained minister. She was a member of the American Legion Post #25 and served with the Fayette County Honor Guard. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Rhoda Rehkopf. Survivors include her special friends, David and Becky Barrett, Sharon Barrett, Mel and Greg Fessler, Marty Timberland and friends, Bev Barr and Mrs. Hershey. Also surviving are friends who knew her affectionately as "Grandma", Tommie Ann Watts, Becky Sue, Joshua, Julie, Amanda and Jakob Barrett. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wesleyn Holiness Church at 802 E. Paint St., with Rev. Gary Brugger and Rev. Kenneth Bogard officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
