RUTH GERALDINE "JERRY" ROSS, age 86, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 5:05 a.m. at her home. She was born on August 8, 1927 in Good Hope to Cary and Margaret McKinney Carmen. She and her husband enjoyed antique machinery shows, crossword and jigsaw puzzles as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, sons Earl "Buddy" Ross and Roger Ross, grandson John Thompson, three brothers and five sisters. Survivors include her husband Earl Ross, whom she married on September 1, 1948; her children Judy Elzey, Patricia Ross and Thelma Ross; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery.
