SANDRA SUE SEYMOUR, age 78, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 1:25 p.m. at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington CH. She was born on September 25, 1942 in Fayette County to Issac and Christine (Bartruff) East. In 1961, she married Larry Eugene Seymour who preceded her in death on August 5, 2017.

Sandra worked as a homemaker and cared for their son Ronald for many years. Sandra also volunteered at St. Catherine's Manor and had attended The House of Prayer Church. She enjoyed going to yard sales, and playing Bingo.

Survivors include her children, Cheryl Merritt, and Ronald Seymour; grandchildren, Ashley Dean and her fiance, Teddy Higginbotham, Jr., and Jamie Merritt; great-grandchildren, Mckenzie, Jason Jr., Macy, Hailey, Jacob, Kayden, Braylon, and Kaitlyn; special niece, Lori East; and special friends, David and Lynette Hooks. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; grandson, Chad Merritt; and siblings, Ilene Hymer, Russell East, and Stanley East.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 1-3:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place and she will be interred at Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery at a later date.
