SHANE ANN (GROVE) HOWARD, age 56, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 12, 1969, Shane was a woman known for her strength, caring heart, and unwavering love for those closest to her.
Shane had a strong work ethic and was a loyal, hardworking provider throughout her life. She found joy in the simple things—playing darts, rolling dice, fishing, and spending time with family. She also loved taking peaceful country drives to look for deer. Her family was the center of her world, and she cared deeply for those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly A. Grove, and her Aunt, Marty Begin.
Shane is survived by her devoted fiancé, Paul Whaley; her children, Molli (Lane Henry), Hunter (Karina) Howard, and Hannah (Aiden Kingery) Howard; bonus children, Tre (Tesla) Howard, Maria Jester, Justin Jester, Schyler (Cassie) Jester; grandchildren, Addison LeMaster, and she was joyfully awaiting the arrival of baby Jensen Howard in July; several wonderful bonus grandchildren whom she loved dearly; and fur grandbaby, Jazz.
She is also survived by her brother, Mark Grove (late Loura); sister, Robin (Kent) Bonecutter; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved fur babies, Axel and Stormi.
Shane also deeply loved and appreciated her special helpers Holly Vermillion, Summer Rowe, Summer Baker, and Tracy.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, resilience, humor, and the deep love she gave to her family and friends. Her memory will live on in all who knew and loved her.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Good Hope Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
