SHARILYN "KAY" BEEKMAN, age 86, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington CH.

She was born on October 24, 1938 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Homer and Maxine (Hitchcock) Brown. She was a homemaker and stay-at-home Mom. Kay attended Heritage Church until her health would no longer allow. She enjoyed reading, journaling, shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her granddaughter-in-law, Cheryl Elaine Binegar.

Surviving family members include her loving and devoted husband, William Chester Beekman, whom she married on September 5, 1969; her children, Debra (Rick) Binegar, Daniel (Karla) Beekman, Rhonda (Steve) Potts, and Cheryl (Wade) Braun; grandchildren, Jason Binegar, Richard, Jr. (Amanda) Binegar, Micah (Kellie) Binegar, Brad Beekman, Ben Beekman, Aaron (Janie) Thurman, Elea Wood, Kellie (Josh) Curl, Christopher Stewart, and Jared (Jake) Stewart; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. A private burial will take place at a later date.
