SHARON FREDA BUTCHER, age 67, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her home.

She was born on February 13, 1950 in Greenfield, Ohio to Alfred M. and Dorothy Heckert Browne. She was a lifelong babysitter and all of her children were special to her. Sharon attended the Grace Community Church in Washington CH. She was a member of the Fayette County Night Owls, and the Commission on Aging. She enjoyed traveling, loved her animals, and most importantly, being with her family and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph E. Butcher, whom she married on October 4, 1970; brother-in-law, Robert Jordan; and nephews, Ronnie and Randy Jordan.

Survivors include her siblings, Raymond L. Heckert Sr. of Washington CH, and Dorothy Ruth Jordan of Wilmington; nieces, Karen Hart, Beverly (Steve) Dailey both of Washington CH; nephews, Ray Heckert Jr. of Washington CH, and Rob (Andi) Jordan of Wilmington; special friends, Sheri, Linda, and Nancy; special children, Amber, Carmen, Roger, and Traci. Also surviving are several great nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Lucas officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
