SHIRLEY ANN EXLINE, age 80, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at the National Church Residences in Chillicothe, Ohio.

She was born on May 12, 1942 in Fayette County to the late Harold and Bessie (Sheets) Kingery. She was a 1961 graduate of Williamsport High School and later attended college in Alabama. Shirley retired from the Orient Department of Corrections where she worked as a guard. She and her late husband, Larry attended Heritage Memorial Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, feeding all the birds and cats, and was lovingly known as the "family gossiper."

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Exline, whom she married on November 3, 1976; and her sister, Dorothy Meadows.

Survivors include her sister and her significant other, Diane Berry and Carl Medler; niece, Heather (Brent) Downs; great niece, Shelby Downs; great nephew, Riley Downs; niece, Danie (Tim) Sherrick; and nephew, Rodger Frump. Also surviving is one brother, six sisters, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
