STEVEN D. HOCKETT, age 65, of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 7:15 p.m. at Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation.

He was born on March 29, 1952 in Clinton County to Roy and Laura Mae Fouch Hockett. He was a 1970 graduate of Clinton-Massie High School. Steven had worked as a truck driver for Mac Tools and retired from Ernst Concrete in Lebanon in 2017. He was best known for his witty sense of humor, trying his luck at the casinos, playing cards, and being with his family.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Walter Hockett, and two nephews, Arnold and Roby Hockett.

Survivors include his son, William Hockett and his fiancé, Crystal Riddick; siblings, Donald (Bev) Hockett, Larry Hockett, Mike (Karen) Hockett, David Hockett, Shirley (Gary) Cougill, and Susan (Larry) Jones; sister-in-law, Sue Hockett; nieces, Patricia and Lauren Strouth; and special friend and mother of his son, Pamela Watson. Also surviving are several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with Mr. Hockett's wishes, cremation will be observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
