STEVEN DEWAYNE RITTENHOUSE, age 47, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 10:29 p.m., at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on May 26, 1969 in Fayette County, to William David and Ruth Ann Patton Rittenhouse. He had been employed by Stark Truss for the past nine years. Steven enjoyed singing, playing guitar, listening to country music, wood working, and cooking. He thoroughly enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, and one infant sister, Christina Maria Rittenhouse.

Survivors include his wife, Reba Richard Rittenhouse, whom he married on May 30, 2009; his children, Steven Phillip Rittenhouse, Carrie Jo Cottrell, and Christopher Simmons; grandchildren, Tobi Leigh Cottrell, Donovan, Darran, and Da'Van Teachey; siblings, William David Rittenhouse, Mark (Alice) Rittenhouse, Sharron (David) Monroe, Marie (David) Thompson, and special nephew, Elijah Rittenhouse. Also surviving is his beloved canine companion, Sammy.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
