SUSAN KAY SNYDER, age 69, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at The Adena Fayette Medical Center. She was born on September 2, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Emmert F. and Mary B. Smalley Keaton.

Susan was a 1972 graduate of Miami Trace High School. She later went on to earn an Associate Degree in Business from Southern State Community College. Susan worked most of her life as a Property Manager. In the past, she worked at ARMCO Steel where she was one of the first female welders, she also served as one the first female firefighters in Fayette County. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, shopping, gardening and loved baking for her neighbors.

Survivors includer her son, Jason M. (Sandra Lynn Beekman) Snyder of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Charlotte Anders, and Heather (Jason) Young; siblings, Ginia (Todd) Posey, Kurt Keaton, Pat (Susie) Sapp, and Debbie Southward; and special nieces and nephews, Megan (Devon) Taylor, Samuel (Jessica) Posey, and Madelyn and Noah Posey along with several other nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael Sapp, and Freddie Keaton.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will be held at the New Holland Cemetery at a later date.
