SYLVIA M. SHELTON, age 75, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel Medical Center.

She was born on October 16, 1941 in Highland County to James and Etta May Wisecup Shelton. She had worked at Thatcher Plastics for over 20 years. She was a member of the Eagles #423, and the American Legion Post #125 Ladies Auxiliary. She believed in hard work, cooking, and especially enjoyed being with her family.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Ronald Althouse, her second husband, Thomas Williams.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Sonny) Strouse and Ron (Teresa) Althouse; grandchildren, Tara (Jeff) Grim and Tyler Althouse (Tricia); great-grandchildren, Austin, Seth, Brianna and Jacob "Jake" Grim and Laci Althouse; sisters, Grace Lightle and Norma (John) Kipp.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Good Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
