TERESA ANN FUNK, age 60, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 3:35 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel Medical Center.

She was born on August 17, 1956 in Highland County to Elmer and Lucille Wright Nichols. She had worked at the Columbus Developmental Center as a nurse's aide for many years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, going to yard sales, and being with her family and grandchildren.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Donna Jean Ater, and mother and father in-law, Robert and Opal Funk.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Funk, whom she married on December 30, 1976; children, Shon Nichols, Terri Nichols, and Melissa Funk; grandchildren, Tanner Green, Samuel Nichols, Zana Ruth, Jeremy Wright, Abigail Wright, Craig Flowers Jr., Haley Tanyhill, and Shonna Geddes; and three great-grandchildren, McKenna, Dayvon, and Allison. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Cremation will be observed according to Teresa's wishes.
