THEODORE WESLEY COTTRELL JR., age 51, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 1:24 p.m. at The OSU Wexner Medical Center.

He was born on November 8, 1965 in Highland County to Theodore Wesley Cottrell and Dorothy Mae Carr Sowders. Ted was self-employed as a painter. He enjoyed working on old muscle cars and painting.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Leah Cottrell; siblings, Daniel Cottrell, Eugene Cottrell, Sally Cottrell, and Diane Crum; and nephew, James S. Carr.

Survivors include his son, Ted Wright; brother, James (Janine) Carr; step-father, Lyle Sowders, and nephew, Nathan Carr.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10-11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. In keeping with Mr. Cottrell's wishes, cremation has taken place.
