THOMAS "TOM" PEARL KNISLEY, age 65 of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Court House Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on August 10, 1951 in Greenfield, Ohio to the late Pearl Jr. and Mary Sword Knisley. He proudly served his country in the US Army as a mechanic in Europe during the Vietnam Conflict, with one honorable discharge from active duty on May 2, 1972. Being transferred to the Reserves, he received a 2nd honorable discharge on October 21, 1989. As a lifelong mechanic, he was also passionate about the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. With family ties to horse racing, he frequented Beulah Park Race Track. The most important thing to him was, is, and always will be, his family. Spending time with family, close friends, and a good beer, was what he lived for. He had a tough mouth and a soft heart, both were qualities that brought him equal measures of affection, and admiration to those that loved him. He will be forever missed.
He was proceded in death by his beloved parents, and his sister, Patricia Vause.
Survivors include his children, Ray Pearl Freeman Knisley (Libby), Patrick Eugene Knisley (Candice and Cody); granddaughter Raelyn Elizabeth Knisley;
Siblings, Phyllis (Bill) Yeazel, Alan Knisley (Valerie), Donna (Garry) Moore as well as many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Summers Funeral Home with Dale Knisley officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
