THOMAS GILBERT R. THOMAS, age 74, went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on July 15, 1942 in Washington CH to Gilbert Thomas and Ruby (Charles) Harris. He was a 1959 graduate of Washington High School. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era and retired from the International Union of Operating Engineers. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memory, brothers Gary Thomas, Tony (Michelle) Thomas; sister-in-law Roberta Thomas; daughters Felicia (Lewis) Gibson and Sania (Go-Go) Thomas, Melissa (Rickey) Dudley; sons Gilbert (Donna) Thomas, Chris (Denice) Thomas; grandchildren Jovan Svarda, Miyaka and Stephen Thomas, Carlos and Ari Toles, Trey Thomas, Lewis Gibson II, Kennedy Thomas, Kobe Thomas, Dallas Dudley, Dyson Dudley and Jordan Thomas; also several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Washington Cemetery.
