TIMOTHY G. 'TIM' PIERCE, age 63, of South Solon, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:58 p.m. at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on April 22, 1953 in Newark, New Jersey to Gene and Mildred Donegane Pierce. He was a 1971 graduate of Washington High School and had attended Southern State Community College. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam era. He was employed by Werner's Enterprise of Springfield. He was a member of the South Charleston American Legion Post #176. Tim loved fishing, camping, boating, golf, was an avid OSU Buckeye fan but most importantly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda Roelands, his Uncle Meade Edwards and beloved brother-in-law, Kenny Albright.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Rogers Pierce, whom he married on January 20, 2007; his children Tim (Jodi) Pierce and Jennifer (Jason) Brown; grandchildren, Summer, Isaiah, Sydnie and Kolten; sisters, Sharon (Ivy) Moore, Diane Albright and Susan (Bill) Chipps; Aunt Margaret (and her late husband, Meade) Edwards who helped to raise him; nieces, nephews as well as a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Myron Allison and Steve Rogers officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
