TWYLA DIANE MYERS BOLEN, age 69, of Washington Court House, passed away at her residence at 9:35 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on October 27, 1955, in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert Sr. and Delores Cullen Myers.
Twyla was a 1974 graduate of Washington Senior High School and served in the Army Ohio National Guard from 1975-1977. Throughout her life she had many different kinds of jobs and had last worked in transportation as an Escort Driver. Twyla was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing cards, going to the casino, playing Bingo and going for rides to see the deer.
Survivors include her daughters, Nikki (Jason) Butler and Kim (Jeff) Shiltz, all of Washington C.H.; her sisters, Diane Myers of Lima and Sheri Winters (Randy Shatterfield) of Washington C.H. Also surviving is her grandson, Trevor McKnight; her granddaughter, Savanna Shiltz (Max Bapst) and one great-granddaughter, "Granny T's Little Goat" Lainey Bapst along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, Twyla is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Myers and her beloved dog Oreo.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, in the Summers Funeral Home with Pastors Tim Rash, Sr. and Tim Rash Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Highlawn Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by the Fayette County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
