VICKI LEE ALKIRE MCKINNEY, age 75, of Bexley, formerly of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 7:17 p.m. at Grant Medical Center.

She was born on August 12, 1942 in Franklin County to Robert Tanner and Mary Barbara Wilson Alkire. She was a longtime manager at Kmart in Washington CH and retired from Carlton Manor. Vicki was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed going to the Alkire Family Cabin, fishing, reading, listening to music, dancing, laughing, being with her family, and was known for her love of animals.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Luther Anderson Sr., son, Jeffrey Tanner Anderson; and her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Jeri and Gary Cooper.

Survivors include her children, Christy (Eric) McKinney-Burkland, Cindy Carter, Dwayne (Tammy) McKinney, Debi McKinney, and Lisa (Brad) Wilson; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Debi (Jerry) Weller, and Bobi Little; and her best friend, Connie Watson. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Mel Wickensimer officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
