VIOLA M. SHAW, age 87, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 8:35 a.m. at the St. Catherine's Manor. She was born on March 3, 1927 in Greenfield, Ohio to Otis and Ruth Forrest Ellison. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, listening to the Grand Old Opry and loved her beloved cat, Sweetie. Viola was proceded in death by her parents, her husband Gordan Shaw, her son James "Jimmy" Marvin Shaw, siblings Ruby Cox, Cleo Pickering, Pauline and Virginia Ellison as well as James, Robert, Raymond, Donald, William, Edward and David Ellison. Survivors include her sisters Mary Alice Carr of Wilmington and Vivian Curd of Peebles as well as several nieces nephews and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery.
