VIRGIL RAY WILSON, age 82, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 2:04 p.m. at the St. Catherine's Manor. He was born on December 8, 1932 in Washington CH to Robert and Edith Dillon Wilson. He retired from the City of Washington Water Department after 39 years of service. He had attended the Heritage Memorial Church and was a member of the Fayette County Auto Club. He enjoyed collecting train memorabilia, antiques, and going to flea markets and auctions. Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Harold, Floyd, Cathryn and Ethel and step-children Dan Ramsey, Cyndi Shay and Rick Ramsey. Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Jean" Lindsey Wilson; his children Robert (Belinda) Wilson, Lucinda (Steve) Mongold, Joseph (Jeanette) Wilson, Donna Johnson and Brian (Tina) Wilson; step-children Bill Ramsey, Bugs (Melodi) Ramsey, Deanna Ramsey and Kellie (Mark) Michaels; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; numerous step-grand children and step-great-grandchildren; siblings Phyllis (Carman) Davis, Norman Wilson and Francis (Carol) Wilson as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends including his canine companion, Peanut. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating with burial to follow at the Paint Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 p.m. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the Rose Ave. Community Center immediately following the burial.
