VIRGINIA ELLEN EVANS, age 78, of Jeffersonville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at her home.

She was born on July 29, 1945 in Hamilton County, Ohio to the late Junior Randolph "JR" and Eleanor Ruth (Baker) Bell. She was a 1964 graduate of Bethel High School. Virgina was a homemaker and stay-at-home Mom. Virginia was very artistic and enjoyed drawing, coloring, and painting. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her granddaughter and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved son, William Owen Evans.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Gary Dow Evans, whom she married in 1974; her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Greg Bailey; granddaughter, Miranda (Glendon Haithcock) Bailey; great-grandchildren, Madison, Myleigh, and Maleah Haithcock; and sisters, Candi Ogden, and Susan Hickman. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of special friends.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville at a later date.
