VIRGINIA E. "GINNY" ELLIOTT, age 94, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington CH, where she had been a resident since 2022.
Ginny was born Virginia Ellen Schiller on July 26, 1928 in Washington CH, Ohio to John Ervin and Florence Mae (Robinette) Schiller. She was a 1946 graduate of Washington High School. She was artistic and loved drawing and painting, music and dancing, entering sweepstakes, and taking care of her family, including her dogs. In her later years, she attended McNair Presbyterian church.
On December 28, 1946, Ginny married Edwin Lee Elliott in Maysville, KY. They resided together in Fayette County for their entire lives, until Edwin's passing in 2010. Although she was employed a short time as a retail department manager, Ginny was primarily a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Gary Wayne Elliott of Venice, FL and Huntley, IL, Deborah Sue Elliott Templin of Moraine, OH, and Pamela Kay (Elliott) Morton of Washington CH, 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, one sister, Mildred Arlene Schiller Holbrook of Wesley Chapel, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edwin (2010), her son, Bruce Edwin Elliott (2020), her sisters, Marjorie Lorrayne (Schiller) Morrison (2019), Barbara Elaine (Schiller) Palmer (2017), Marilyn Lucille (Schiller) Knisley (2017), and her brother, Willard Marvin Schiller (2016)
A private graveside service will be held at Highlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
