WANDA F. ZIMMERMAN, age 77, of Bloomingburg, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 11:59 a.m. at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe surrounded in love by family.

Wanda was born on December 1, 1948 in Adams County, Ohio to Kanoy “Red” and Mary Jackson Creech. She was a 1967 Miami Trace High School graduate. Many years spent raising her children as a stay-at-home Mother, before she went to work at Frisch’s Big Boy for 10 years and retiring from Bob Evans Restaurant at 35 and 71 after 8 years. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with Dale on the road while he was professionally driving. She always loved crafting, crocheting for everyone in the family, genealogy, flowers, Buckeyes football, favorite TV programs, photography, especially taking photos of family and playing all types of games with her grandchildren. Wanda’s greatest love was time with Dale and holding hands for 58 years while saying “I love you”.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Dale Zimmerman, whom she married on May 25, 1968; her children, Crystal (Daniel) Johnson and Steven (Jeneen) Zimmerman; grandchildren, Samantha Johnson, Brandon (Sarah) Johnson, Cody Zimmerman, Eddie and Danielle Brown; step-grandchildren, Emily and Nicole Peloquin; great-grandchildren, Josephine and Oliver Johnson whom she shared many treasured moments of love, laughter and hugs; sisters, Carlotta Conley, Sandra Seitz, Pamela (Daniel) Mitchell Ronda (Larry) Jones, and Debra Trenner; special nieces, nephews and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Allen, Charles, and David Creech.

Special mention of Wanda’s at-home caregivers; her family, Trisha, Alaina, Milana, Baylee, Cassie, Tonya, Kristin, Karen, Maddie, Julia, Johanna, Joanie and Dyamin as well as Heartland Hospice. Without the love and care provided by these amazing people, it would not have been possible to have her return home since April of 2025.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Summers Funeral Home of Washington Court House, Ohio with Pastor Daniel Mayo, officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the White Oak Grove Cemetery in Fayette County, Ohio.
