WANDA LEE HARLAN, age 86, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at her home.

She was born on January 7, 1939 in Fayette County to the late Ernest and Marie (Crago) Martindill. She was a 1957 graduate of Madison Mills High School. Wanda worked for WinCup, Inc. in Mount Sterling and retired after thirty years of service. Her favorite hobby was playing cards; Wanda would have played cards 24-7 if she could. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Wanda was the youngest of thirteen children.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Max "Buzz" Harlan, whom she married on September 13, 1970; and her siblings, Alvin, Russell, Glen, Bud, and Gene Martindill, Frances Starkey, Margaret Rorer, Fayebell Grisby, Helen Haines, Clarice Black, and Patty "Tootsie" Gaines.

Survivors include her children, Jimmy Clark, and Sharon (Joe) Ward; grandchildren, Shanna Cartmell, Ryan (Jess) Cartmell, J.R. (Amanda) Ward, and Kandi (Anthony) Cicatko; great-grandchildren, Warran, Tori, Everick, Mackenzie, Mackayla, Haylee, Raydyn, Haizlee, Alex, Faith, Gracie, and Rachel; great-great-grandchildren, Kai, Annalee, Greyson, and Maverick; and her sister, Louise Landrum.

Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the New Holland Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
