WANDA LOU HURLES, age 76, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 5:50 p.m. at Court House Manor where she had resided for the last four years.

She was born on February 4, 1945 in Pike County to Philip and Nora (Windsor) Grooms. She was a graduate of Greenfield McClain High School. Wanda was employed for over twenty years at Edgewood Manor in Greenfield where she worked in laundry. She attended the Greenfield Church of the Nazarene. Wanda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, attending gospel concerts and being with her beloved family.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Eugene Hurles, whom she married on February 19, 1967; infant grandson, Zebie Hurles; son-in-law, Bill Camp; and siblings, Roy Grooms, Ed Grooms, Gladys Howland, Della Evans, and Rose Margaret Hawkins.

Survivors include her children, Selena Camp, Sheldon (Becky) Hurles, and Jeremy (Stephanie) Hurles; grandchildren, Zach (Megan) Camp and Abbie (Anton) Camp-Niklasson; great-grandsons, Liam and Owen Camp; step-grandchildren, Kaleb and Trevor Campbell; step-grandson, Ristyn Campbell; and sister, Bernice Hawes. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Justice officiating with burial to follow at the Greenfield Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
