WAYNE THOMAS RHOADS, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Court House Manor. He was born on January 31, 1934 in Bainbridge, Ohio to the late Raymond and Carol (Knisley) Rhoads. He married Erma Jean (Mead) Rhoads on November 23, 1954. They raised two sons together, Rev. Tom (Vicky) Rhoads and Ed Rhoads.

Wayne was a 1952 graduate of Western High School in Latham, Ohio. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. After an honorable military discharge, he returned to civilian life where he worked in construction and later retired from Mead Paper Mill. Wayne was a hard worker and was described as a "family man" by his sons.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Erma Jean Rhoads; siblings, William (Margaret) Rhoads, and Loretta (Elton) Mutter; and nephew, Neal Mutter.

Surviving grandchildren include Shane Rhoads, Joshua (Sarah) Rhoads, Brad (Beth) Rhoads, Justin (Katrina) Rhoads, Danny Evans, and Gabrielle Evans; nine-great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Maxine Mead. Also surviving are many cherished nieces and nephews.

In life's journey you become blessed with special relationships (niece) Angie (Jeff) Doles who filled the role of daughter; and lifelong friends, Joe (Christy) Hemsley, and Juanita (Dick) Davis.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the WCH Church of the Nazarene, 990 SR 41 SW, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Rev. Dr. Dan Tipton and Rev. Dr. Dan McLean officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held at the Twin Township Cemetery in Bourneville, Ohio on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
