WESLEY ROBERT "WES" LOYD, age 68, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at his home. His death was sudden and unexpected.

He was born on December 15, 1953 in Greene County, Ohio to Richard Earl, Sr. and Helen Louise (Strickle) Loyd. Wes was a 20 year employee at American Builders in Jamestown before joining his brothers at The Village Marathon Station in Jeffersonville. Wes never knew a stranger and acquired many friends while working at the gas station; his friends will remember him fondly for his kind heart and small acts of kindness. He enjoyed fishing, mowing his lawn, scratch-off tickets, and watching old westerns.

Wes was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard E. Loyd, Jr.; and special friend, Jerry Wolfe.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Nikki R. (Bryan) Riley; grandchildren, Erika (Brad) Riley, Tori Riley, and Jensen Riley; great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Haiden, and Charlee; siblings, Mark A., Sr. (Linda) Loyd, Sam Loyd, and Teresa (Johnathan) Raypole; nephews, Johnathan (Liz) Raypole and Allie, Mark A., Jr. (Tammy) Loyd, Richard E. Loyd, III, and Roger L. (Renee) Loyd; sister-in-law, Nancy Loyd; and special friend, Vicky Wolfe. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
