WILLARD E. 'RED' BAINTER, age 79, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 4:05 a.m. at his home.
He was born on August 11, 1935 in Austin, Ohio to Guy L. and Viola F. Haynes Bainter. He had worked at Mead Container for over 40 years and Sollars Farms for over 10 years. He was a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ. Red enjoyed working in his garage, tinkering on automobile and small engines, gardening, working in his yard and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Red was preceded in death by his parents as well as one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Carolyn Grate Bainter, whom he married on July 10, 1954; his children Susan (Tom) Bunnell, Rusty Bainter, Gary (Jane) Bainter, Ricky (Debbie) Bainter and Tammy Morris; grandchildren Dusty (Michelle) Bainter, Shawn (Janet) Bunnell, Mindy (Matthew) Artcliff, Angel (Dustin) Mahan, Andrew Morris, Charlotte Morris, David (Kara) Bainter, Daniel Bainter, Devin Bainter, Justin Hobbs, Samantha Bainter, Cammryn Bainter and Eric Wallace; great-grandchildren Dustin Bainter, Carter and Jenna Bainter, Hailey and Savannah Bunnell. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
