WILLIAM LLOYD "BILL" COPELAND, age 90, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center.

He was born on August 4, 1933 in Greenfield, Ohio to the late Ira E. and Mildred C. (Mootispaw) Copeland. He was a 1952 graduate of Greenfield McClain High School where he lettered in three sports including, football, baseball, and basketball. Bill proudly served his county in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from DP&L in 1995 after thirty-eight years of service. He was a faithful member at the South Side Church of Christ until his health would not allow him to attend.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Martha Lou "Marty" (Yahn) Copeland, whom he married on July 31, 1954.

Survivors include his daughters, Vicki (Mike) Clay of Washington CH, and Joni (Jim) McLean of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Tony (Karen) Clay, Kacy (David) Morris, and Jason (Dawn) McLean; great-grandchildren, Braeden, Allison, Emma, Chase, Matthew, and Colton; brothers-in-law, Dan (Chris) Yahn, and Steve (Cindy) Yahn; and sister-in-law, Becky (Brad) Noble.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his nurse, Toni and the staff at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center for the wonderful care they provided.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the South Side Church of Christ with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the Church on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
