WILLIAM "BILL" EDWARD ROBINSON, age 78, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 as a result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born on November 27, 1944 in Franklin County, Ohio to the late Leroy and Sally (Seville) Robinson. He was a graduate of Fairfield High School in Leesburg and a graduate of Ohio University. He also attended a training course at the FBI National Academy. After high school Bill proudly served his country in the US Navy and later served twenty-plus years in the 121st Air National Guard. He served as a policeman at the Washington CH Police Department where he went on to become Chief and retired in 1993. After his retirement, he served as Executive Director for Fayette County Hospice; he and his wife also purchased and managed the Johnson Insurance Agency for twenty-three years. He loved spending time horseback riding, deer hunting, playing pool, square dancing with his wife, riding his motorcycle, but above all he loved spending time with his family who kept him feeling young by always goofing around and laughing with them.
Survivors include his loving wife, Gloria Ann (Delay) Robinson, whom he married on March 17, 1968; his daughters, Nancy Skeeters, Sharon (Clyde) Thompson, and Cathy (Troy) Bock; grandchildren, Aryn (Tanner) Onesko, Kayla Kiser, Shane Skeeters, Ryan (Brooklyn) Thompson, Alison Atwood, and Katelyn Bock; and great-grandchildren, Kason, Kinlee, Walker, Tatum, River, Raine, and Waylon; and his sister, Cheryl (Marty) Bailey.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 4-7:00 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Church, 175 Halliday Way, Washington CH, OH 43160.
