WILLIAM RUSSELL "BILL" GORMAN, aka "Fence Builder", age 81, of Bainbridge, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. at his home.

He was born on August 25, 1935 in Xenia to Amon Gorman and Edna Mae Shoemaker. He retired from the Fayette County Engineers in 1997 after 22 years of service. He was a member of the Sunnyside Church of Humbolt. He enjoyed collecting coins, talking on his CB radio, and especially his canine companions, Harley, Peaches, Trapper, Heidi, and Sissy and his cat, Scooter.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Ashley Smith, grandson Leroy Toppins and brother, Donald White.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Watson Gorman; his children, Sherry (Bobby) Newton, Barbara (Michael) Straight, Billie (John) Terry and their child Octavia Fauber and their great-grandchildren, Coltin Karsyn and Kelley Fauber, Lisa Gorman (Neil Wolfe) and children Danny Karber, Sarah and Anna Karber,and their great-grandchildren, Tyler Karber, William Burlile, Wyatt Galeas, Dallas Karber and Trevon Toppins, Jenny (Jeff) Acal-Salado and their children, Christopher Rittenhouse, Sheena Lister and Tabitha Chandler, and their great-grandchildren, Allison Chandler and Christopher Rittenhouse II, and Donnie (Robin) Majors and their children, Nate, Mariah and Elijah Majors; brothers, Leon (Sheila) Gorman, and Russell Mowen as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
