WINNIE HAVENS, age 76, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 4:55 p.m. at Signature Healthcare of Chillicothe.

She was born on October 2, 1944 in Ross County to Ernest and Mary (Wallace) Knisley. She attended Miami Trace High School. Winnie was a homemaker and a caregiver to the elderly. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed watching daytime soap operas, listening to country music, cooking, and being with her family.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John H. Havens, Jr., whom she married on August 15, 1963; grandson, Nicholas Havens; and siblings, Thelma Barnett, Delano Knisley, Delbert Knisley, Vickie Collins, and Rusty Knisley.

Survivors include her children, John III (Leslie) Havens, Tony Havens, Eric (Linda) Havens, Chris Havens, and Amanda (William) Harper; grandchildren, Brandon Havens and his fiancé, Alexa Woods, Felicity Havens, London Havens, Skylar Havens, Angela Murphy, Tyler (Jennifer) Havens, Sarah Havens, Dartaynene Zimmerman, Andrew, Nicolet, Eric, and Eva Harper; great-grandson, Isaac Havens; brother, Richard (Emma) Knisley; and special nieces, Kim Jackson, Crystal Jester, and Tammy Russell. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the White Oak Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
