ZOLA JANE DODDROE, age 75, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 5:20 a.m. at her home.

She was born on October 26, 1941 in Fayette County to Charles and India Reisinger Hooks. She was a 1959 Washington High School graduate. Zola was retired from the City of Washington where she worked at the Service and Fire Departments for many years. She was a lifetime member of the South Side Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking, painting, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Zola was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving canine companion, Hunter.

Survivors include her husband, Emil Doddroe, whom she married on July 11, 1959; her children, Jeffrey (Amy) Doddroe, and Tammie (Randy) Wilson; grandchildren, Ashley (Tim) Clouse, Adam (Bekah) Doddroe, Cody Doddroe, Nick Doddroe and Eric, Jenna, and Brian Wilson; great-grandchildren, Leigha, Hailey, Ben, Hannah, Logan, and Laura and sister, Jodi Eggleton. Also surviving is her canine companion, Emma.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family at the Good Hope Cemetery.
