Alvy Brown Obituary

ALVY JAMES BROWN, age 73, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:18 p.m. at his home after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on December 12, 1947 in Fayette County to Vora Sr. and Dorothy (Miller) Brown. He was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School. Alvy proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the Walmart Distribution Center in Grove City. Alvy was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed taking walks, fishing, and being with his family.

Alvy was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Vora Brown, Jr., David Brown, Robert Brown, Thomas Brown, and Florence Wright.

Survivors include his children, Tom II (Deanna) Little, Jamie (Jennifer) Brown, Kelli (Andrea) Dunlap, and Tyler Brown; grandchildren, Dylan Little, Tommy III (Nichole) Little, Dylan Berlin, Leighton (Megan) Brown, Destinee Berlin, Drake Berlin, Gavynn Brown, Avery Dunlap, Arie Dunlap, Addy Dunlap, and Zander Brown; six great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Rosemary Brown; and siblings, Ruth Anna Pease of Xenia, Ohio, and Mary Edwards of Conroe, Texas.

Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Armstrong officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
