ANN E. CANNON, age 90, of Springfield, formerly of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 at the Springfield Regional Medical Center.

She was born on November 18, 1933 in Butler County to Glen and Eleanor (Anness) Hamilton. She was a 1952 graduate of Washington High School. Ann was a housewife and stay-at-home Mother to her four children. She was a longtime member of The Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North American, Inc. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing golf, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Ann was preceded in death by her father, Glen (Lena) Hamilton; her mother, Eleanor Hamilton; grandson, Chance Goins; and sister, Sally Sword.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Robert L. Cannon, whom she married on March 8, 1952; her children, Steve (Renee) Cannon, Becky (Larry) Goins, Robert “Bud” (Levina) Cannon, and Russell (Patty) Cannon; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; and siblings, Harriet Kruger, Jeannie Karmire, Susan Niesen, Jim Hamilton, and Mary Hamilton. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Aladdin Shriners Hospital Association for Children, Inc. (ASHAC), 1801 Gateway Circle, Grove City, OH 43123.
