April Terry Snider

APRIL TERRY SNIDER, age 76, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Signature Healthcare of Fayette County.

She was born on November 12, 1947 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late James William and Margaret Florence (Rehl) Shockley. She was a 1965 graduate of Miami Trace High School. April retired from Showa Aluminum in Mount Sterling. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, April was preceded in death by the father of her children, Carl David Snider; her children, Carl David Snider, Jr., and Melissa Jenkins; granddaughter, Timella Jenkins; and two brothers and seven sisters.

Survivors include her son, Brian (Bethany) Snider; grandchildren, Shelby Snider, Makayla (Weston) Porter, and Reed Snider; great-granddaughter, Izabella Porter; sister, Faith Williams; and brother-in-law, Emmett Snider. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services. The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Heinzerling Developmental Center, 1755 Heinzerling Drive, Columbus, OH 43223.
