Barbara Jean Seitz

BARBARA JEAN SEITZ, age 75, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Berger Hospital in Circleville.

She was born on March 23, 1949 in Franklin County to the late Robert Eugene and Anna Jean (Travis) Rodgers. She was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School. Barbara retired from OCLC Data Management in Dublin, Ohio. She had been a longtime member at the South Side Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and baking, going to yard sales, collecting jewelry, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry D. Seitz, whom she married on August 6, 1982; her son, Eric Alan Reese; twin grandsons, Eli and Elliott Biggs; and sister-in-law, Tammy Rodgers.

Survivors include her step-daughters, Geraldine (Danny) Evans, and Penny (Bill) Sanders; grandchildren, Lasionna Scruggs and her boyfriend, Robert Gross, Larry (Sara) Scruggs, and Leanna Scruggs and her boyfriend, George Hooks; great-grandchildren, Angelina, Kevin, Kiara, Brayden, Zaydenn, Taylor-Ann, Kylee-Ann, Braxton, Jeven, Alaia, Jonathan, Bryson, and Haylee; brother, Marty Rodgers; special friend, Darrell Taylor; and her two beloved Chiwawa’s, Zoe and Ginger.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
