Betty Anthony Obituary

BETTY ALICE ANTHONY, age 82, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 8:25 a.m. at her home.

She was born on May 27, 1938 in Fayette County to Roy Clifford and Ella Louise (Mustain) Underwood. She was a graduate of Washington High School. Betty had been employed at the former Terrace Lounge and Sisters Tanning. She enjoyed shopping, dinning out, playing online poker, and being with her family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garry Lee Anthony, whom she married on February 7, 1980; son, Danny Southward; and four siblings.

Survivors include her children, Debbie (Phil) Crago, DeDe (Robert) Johnson, and Dory Southward; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and siblings, Norman (Faye) Underwood, and Mary (Jake) Cox. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Burial will be held at the Washington Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
