Brenda Jean Paul

BRENDA JEAN PAUL, age 65, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at her home.

She was born on October 2, 1959 in Fayette County to the late Issac and Lois (Heightland) Lightle. She was a 1979 graduate of Washington High School. Brenda worked as a nursing assistant for many years in the local area. She attended the Center United Methodist Church in Octa when her health would allow. She enjoyed listening to music, spending time with her grandchildren, and she loved her animals.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Paul, whom she married on July 4, 1980; her grandson, Jonathon Jacob Smith; and brother, Jack Lightle.

Survivors include her sons, Adam Lee (Tannya) Lightle, and Jason Edward Paul; grandchildren, Aaron Lee Lightle, Cheyanne Smith, Camron (Lauren) Smith, Gabrial Lightle, and McKenzie Lightle; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Connor, Ariel, Paisley, and Ryleigh; and sister, Sharon Bellar. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
