Carolyn Jean Michael Berry, age 87, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. She was born in Washington Court House, OH July 8, 1936, to the late Robert and Marie Michael.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, loving husband Billy Irl Berry, son Stephen Mark Tolle, and sister Rene Taynor.
She is survived by sister Diane Michael, son Bradley Tolle (Beverly), daughter Rebecca Crouch (David), and son Michael Tolle. She also leaves behind four grandchildren Mandy Miller, Ronnie Tolle, Stephen Crouch (Madison), and Sarah Crouch (Michael), nephew Eric Taynor (Melissa), and niece Kellie Arledge (Brian), and great grandchildren Colten and Conner Spires and Jayse Drummond who she adored immensely.
She lived life her way and was the never wavering anchor to her children and extended family. She had a passion for traveling with her husband throughout the 48 states. She immensely enjoyed family picnics, family reunions, and holiday gatherings. She worked at Scotts department store, Truck Stops of America, and Caspers clothing store. She held the position of administrative assistant at Scotts, and was the store manager at Truck stops of America, and lead salesperson at Caspers. However, her best job came after retirement when she took the responsibility of babysitting her grandson, Stephen.
She was a lifetime member of Southside Church of Christ and never wavered in her faith. She held steadfast in the Lord Jesus Christ and knew she would be called home when her work on earth was finished.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in the South Side Church of Christ with Danny Dodds officiating, burial to follow in the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 3:00-7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carolyn’s name can be made to the Philippines orphanage in care of South Side Church of Christ, 921 S. Fayette St., Washington C.H., OH 43160
