CHARLES F. YAHN, age 78, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at his home.
He was born on December 1, 1941 in Fayette County to Nial and Stella (Caudle) Yahn. He attended Washington High School. Charles owned and operated Yahn’s Carpet for many years in the local area. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed traveling to Tennessee with his wife, feeding squirrels, gambling, and spending time with his family.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Connie F. (Keith) Haynes; granddaughter, Joie Miranda Yahn; great-grandson, Charles Drendyn Yahn; and siblings, Kenny Yahn, and Carol Yeazel.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Arbra Jane (Sword) Yahn; son, Mike (Kathy) Yahn; grandchildren, Jordy (Tessa) Yahn, Brian (Mackenzie) Haynes, and Brittany (Kyle) Ackley; great-grandchildren, Ta’Kyia Yahn, Kayden Penwell, Ryker Haynes, Aiden Haynes, Keionnie Ackley, and Ryan Ackley; brother, Dave (Debbie) Yahn; and special friend, Mike Taylor. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Summers Funeral Home to help cover final expenses.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
