CYNTHIA ANN PALMER “CYNDI” COLLINS, age 63, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on May 1, 1962 in Washington CH to the late Daniel J. and Ann (Leaming) Palmer. She was a 1980 graduate of Miami Trace High School. Cyndi worked for most of her adult life as a nursing assistant, she retired from Fayette County Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed collecting primitives and spending time with her family and beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Cyndi was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Palmer.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, David Alan Collins, whom she married on November 25, 2000; her children, Jerad (Leah) Matthews, and Emily (Josh) Stamper; step-son, Wesley (Stephanie) Collins; and grandchildren, Evangeline, Case, Lucy, Cora, Jax, Evangeline, and Adrianne. Also surviving are many dear and special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Darrell Duncan officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
There will be a potluck meal held at the Fayette County Commission on Aging immediately following the service, 1179 South Elm St., Washington CH, OH 43160. Food delivery will begin at 4:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County, 222 N. Oakland Ave., Washington CH, OH 43160.
