David Lee Crossley Obituary

DAVID LEE CROSSLEY, age 83, of Washington Court House, passed away at 7:55 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Cedarvale Commons Healthcare Center in Washington C.H. Born on September 6, 1941 in DeKalb Indiana, he was the son of the late Samuel and Sarah McDonald Crossley. On May 27, 1984, he married the former Myra Lee Brewer who preceded him in death on November 10, 2017.

Dave attended and graduated high school in Indiana. After moving to Ohio, he began working for Showa Aluminum in Mt. Sterling until his retirement in 2005. He enjoyed singing karaoke, camping and watching both The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds on television.  

Survivors include his children, Mark Crossley, LeAnn Blankenship and Lelia Crossley; his stepchildren, David Shaw, Traci (Gary) Woodrow and Kristi Fooce; his grandchildren, Dexter Crossley, Jody (Brandon) Mullins, Jamie Rhodes and Josh (Toni) Mullinex, Zach (Katie) Woodrow, Seth Shaw, Wade Shaw and Taylor (Dalton) Anders. Also surviving are several great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents and loving wife, Dave was preceded in death by his siblings, Samuel Crossley, Fran Collins and Sonya Schrock.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, in the Highlawn Cemetery with Danny Dodds officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation with family held prior to the service.
