DAVID RUSSELL HALL, age 89, of Washington CH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Court House Manor.
He was born on January 31, 1936 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Jesse and Anna (Carpenter) Hall. He was a graduate of Washington High School. David proudly served in The Army National Guard. He was a Minister for many years at the Wesleyan Holiness Church and Washington Avenue House of Prayer; he was also self-employed buying, selling, and hauling hay. He enjoyed studying the Bible, fishing, hunting, cutting firewood, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Norma Jean (Lowe) Hall, whom he married on October 5, 1957; and siblings, Dorothy Hall, Alice May Long, Carl Hall, John Robert Hall, and Ralph Hall.
Survivors include his daughters, Linda (Gary) Junod, and Sherry (Jesse) Glenn; grandchildren, Christina Junod, Amy (Scott) Hurley, Ryan (Lindsey) Junod, Nathan Glenn, and Isaac Glenn; great-grandchildren, Keera, Jaxen, Breana, Addison, and Oliver; and siblings, Viola (Frank) Macawish, Dale (Betty Jo) Hall, Carol Jean (Richard) Ellison, and Gary Hall. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Cessna officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
