Doris Balzer Obituary
DORIS J. BALZER, age 84, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 7:07 a.m. at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
She was born on May 14, 1930 in Ross County to Martin and Nellie Coonrod
Schumacher. She was a graduate of Buckskin High School and working as an Auxiliary at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital for 17 years.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Balzer, two brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include her children Brenda (Terry) Morris and Brian (Valorie) Balzer; grandchildren Teresa (Cameron) Borden, Rebecca Walters, Jonathan Morris, Jennifer (Paul) Groninger and Jared Balzer; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Hazel Richter and June Aldenderfer as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
