DOROTHY ELEEN LEETH, age 93, of Panama City, Florida, formerly of Washington CH, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 1:50 p.m. at Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center.
She was born on July 27, 1927 in Fayette County to Willard and Alice (Cherry) Cornell. She attended Washington City Schools. Dorothy worked as a hostess at the former J&J Restaurant for many years. She was a longtime member at the House of Prayer Church on Washington Avenue. Dorothy lived most of her life in the area until making her move to Florida at the young age of 88. She and her late husband, Alvin, always enjoyed camping and fishing at Rocky Fork Lake and traveling to Canada.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin Richard Leeth; children, Ronald Leeth, and Patricia Fox; and grandson, Brian Brown.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Richard Eugene (Rose) Leeth of Panama City Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Jason (Erika) Leeth, and Brett (Kristi) Fox; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several cousins and a host of dear and special friends.
The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at the Highlawn Cemetery with Pastor Tom Butcher officiating.
