Earl Thomas "Tom" Rucker

EARL THOMAS “TOM” RUCKER, age 79, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

He was born on March 27, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Earl Bruce and Hazel Reba (Bryan) Rucker. He attended Washington High School. Tom retired from The Mead Corporation where he worked as a truck driver and a forklift operator.

He was a member and past President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Washington CH. He enjoyed boating, listening to good music, spending time with his family and friends, and was an avid Las Vegas Raiders fan.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Lou (Thatcher) Rucker, whom he married on September 21, 1998, his son, Timothy Wade Rucker, and brother, Delbert Brandenburg.

Survivors include his children, Thomas M. (Penelope) Rucker, Misty R. (Mark) Depugh, and Lori (Todd) Forth; grandchildren, Joshua T. (Michelle) Rucker, Patrick G. (Ariana) Rucker, Kaitlyn N. (Ryan) Moritz, Brandon M. (Hannah) Depugh, Jared Rhoads, Ryan Cassidy, Kari Deaton, and Kyli Hickman; great-grandchildren, Ivy, Atlas, Judah, and Adalyn; brother, Fred Brandenburg; and the mother of his children, Peggy E. Rucker. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Darrell Upp officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
