ELBERT FRANKLIN CAUDILL, age 75, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 1:04 p.m. at Mount Carmel Grove City.
He was born on December 23, 1946 in Derby, Ohio to Robert and Mary Magdalene (Blair) Caudill. He was a 1964 graduate of Miami Trace High School. Elbert was a local businessman who owned and operated Cook Home Improvements for many years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, boating, taking long drives to Kentucky, and being with his beloved family. He was a well-respected worker in the community.
Elbert was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mary Janalee “Jan” Henry, and Louis “Gene” Caudill. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Brenda Kay (Schleich) Caudill, whom he married October 13, 1973; daughter, Erin L. Caudill, son, Mark A. Caudill and his fiancée, Courtney Covert; brother, Bob (Mary) Caudill; and brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Melanie Schleich, John Schleich, Eric and Kim Schleich, and Dan and Jeannie Schleich. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Crossroads Christian Church, 175 Halliday Way, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating. Burial will follow at the Springlawn Cemetery in Williamsport. Family and friends may visit at the church on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
