Elizabeth Ann Johnston

ELIZABETH ANN JOHNSTON, age 84, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025 at her home. Her death was sudden and unexpected.

She was born on September 22, 1940 in Connecticut to the late James and Margaret (Bogle) Hill. She was a graduate of Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven, Connecticut. Elizabeth retired from the United States Postal Service where she had worked as a Telecommunication Specialist for many years. She enjoyed needlepoint sewing and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gaylord Johnston, and grandson, William Skaggs.

Survivors include her children, David Jeffery (Drema) Johnston, and Sue Ellen Johnston; grandchildren, April Johnston, Joshua Skaggs, and Stacey (Steven) Gray; great-grandchildren, Keyona, Deshja, Darrell, Brooklynn, Paisley, Quinn, Nora, Knox, Madison, and Hayden; brother and sister-in-law, James and Leona Hill; and her faithful feline companion, Princess. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Cremation has taken place, and no services will be held.
